Look have changes i n my theme, have instruction, probably will don't read. Now is only one single folder with one image inside for each item.

Because have an option for a folder in customize main menu, you don't need to change anything, only configure there.
Go to customize main menu, movies, choose your folder in Background multiple images, point to my themes, movies, done. You have arts cycling at home when in movies item
