Skins settings reset on disconnect / reload - Nicodeme - 29/07/2019

Hi all !

Here's my setup : NUC with LibreElec 9.0.2 and Kodi 18.2. Fresh install.

I first setup sources and regional, then i install Aeon MQ 8 from the Kodi repo.

I have created two profiles : "Parents" and "Kids", new configuration for the two.

I connect on "Parents", change settings like this :
- change "Movies" submenu for Playlist renamed "Movies" with new background, widgets movies (standard)
- change "TV Shows" submenu for Playlist renamed "TV Shows" with new background, widgets tv shows (standard)
- change "Music" submenu for Playlist renamed "Marvel" with new background, widgets movies "standard"
- etc.

I disconnect from "Parents" and connect to "Kids", same operations.

When i disconnect from "Kids" and reconnect to "Parents", skin had reset (Movies, TV Shows, Music, etc.).
When i disconnect from "Parents" and reconnect to "Kids", skin had reset (Movies, TV Shows, Music, etc.).

I paste you a settings.xml when changes are made, befeore reset...

Need your help, i will turn crazy... (4 times i remade all settings, profiles, etc.)

It´s one bug in Kodi, nothing for to do, we need wait a proper fix, more info

Hello Wanilton, thanks for your response !

Just a little precision : is a reloadskin() enough or do I have to copy the settings.xml at each reboot to keep my configuration ? If i have to copy the file at each boot, is there a code example somewhere on this please ?

It's only one way to force Kodi to reload the skin values.

You don't need one copy, will work with only one, but you need always change profile, press the key button for force Kodi reload.

The proper fix is coming via Kodi. I test here and work fine, no more troubles.

Don't work 

Aeon MQ 8 load but is settings are reset 

Seems like i need to wait for the fix
